Flip-up / modular helmets
Flip-up or modular helmets combine the comfort and freedom of Open-face helmets with the safety of the Full-Face helmets. Flip-up helmets are exceptionally popular among riders who prefer versatility.
Flip-up helmets: the chin bar and visor can be raised upwards opening the front of the helmet.
Flip-over helmets: The chin bar can be fully flipped over to the back of the helmet. This allows cleaner airflow around the helmet and less aerodynamic drag when riding.
The lock on the left side of the helmet blocks the chin bar in the up position avoiding the chin guard to close accidentally.
Shells of LS2 Flip-up / modular helmets are manufactured under strict ISO 9001 standards from HPFC (High Performance Fiberglass Composite), from wide-weave carbon fiber, from hi-tech KPA Aramid-Polymer Composite, or from high-quality HPTT polycarbonate. More about LS2 Helmets Shell Materials.
Built-in internal sun visor is safe, practical and comfortable solution of LS2 helmets for motorcyclists who sometimes travel day and night. Sun visor allows for a comfortable ride in the bright sunlight, cutting the glare and protecting your eyes from UV damage, at night or in poor visibility conditions, such as in a tunnel or forest, sun visor can be easily retracted to get instantly a clear view.
Homologation
All LS2 helmets are ECE 22.05 / ECE 22.06 homologated and meet strict safety standards such as ISO 900: 2008, CE and DOT.
Dual P/J homologation - some LS2 Flip-up and Flip-over helmets are also homologated both as full-face helmet and open helmet. P/J Dual homologation means that you can legally ride with your chin bar in the up / back position.
