Wildcat 1000i in Lithuanian Armed Forces

Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000i, American-made All-Wheel Drive UTV, is the new addition to Lithuanian Army Special operations units - Lithuanian Special Operations Forces (LITHSOF) equipment. Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000i has proved to be highly effective high-performance off-road military vehicle with exceptional abilities to operate in harsh environment in high speeds, with great strategic mobility, with possibility to carry a crew of two, with air transportability including loading into the C-130 Hercules, standard NATO cargo aircraft. With sturdy construction, high agility and reliability, ease of use, long operating range, unrivalled performance for a vehicle in this size and weight and with extremely quiet operation, Arctic Cat Wildcat 1000i proved to be the ideal lightweight rapid intervention vehicle for Special Forces.

For the purposes of Lithuanian Special Operations Forces were Arctic Cat Wildcats 1000i optimized by utilization of sturdy high performance ITP tires, weapon mounts for machine gun, a set of two spare wheels and other modifications.

Lithuanian Arctic Cat Wildcats 1000i proved their qualities in the course of Flaming Sword 2014, international Special Operations Forces training event, conducted in Lithuania, involving participants from the U.S. Special Operations Forces and other NATO allies and partner nations. This year the Flaming Sword exercise was carried according to modified scenario that trained NATO allies to put the concept of the NATO Response Force deployment into practice, with the main focus on counteractions against terrorists, sabotage of enemy teams, invaders and covert agents, and on identification of hotbeds of subversive actions and prevention of any possible provocative activities.
