Maintenance free (MF) battery have increased output voltage, decreased charging time and reduced heat losses as power flows through the system. Due to the tight packing, maintenance free batteries are small in size and impact / vibration resistant. But the main advantage of MF battery is - they are maintenance free - they require no addition of electrolyte or distilled water when once in use.

For optimum performance, MF batteries must be charged regularly, especially in the winter period, when the battery is not in use. MF battery cannot be charged with a conventional type charger. If so, battery will be destroyed permanently. MF batteries can ONLY be charged with chargers designed to charge MF batteries.

In most cases, MF batteries are delivered dry, not filled with electrolyte. Electrolyte is in the plastic canister in the package. Customer has to fill MF battery from the plastic canister (you will see air bubbles in the tubes as it empties. Do not try to rush this process or shake the canisters. It may take 15 to 20 minutes for the canisters to empty completely). After it’s time to close the battery cap. After closing the battery never try to open caps again - MF battery never needs filling after you have filled electrolyte and sealed the battery.
