Off-road pants are designed to protect you in the event of an accident; they are your only abrasion protection. Additional protective layers in the knee area protect from abrasion during an accident, impact protection comes from knee protectors under your pants.
Also enduro pants offer essential knee, leg and hip protection during riding. This protection includes insulation from the heat of the muffler and some waterproof protection, with reinforced hip, knee and seat areas that are extremely abrasion and tear resistant.
