How to Take Care of Your MX/ATV Boots

  • After each use remove any mud with a soft brush or damp cloth. When cleaning boots with pressure cleaner proceed with caution as too high pressure can destroy the seams.Do not use a washing machine to clean your boots, as high temperatures may damage boot components.
  • Let your boots dry. Always dry your boots in a dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight and direct sources of heat such as radiators or stoves.
  • If you need to dry your boots quickly, insert crumpled newspaper or use portable electric boot dryer for ski boots. MX/ATV boots will also dry out faster when lying flat on the floor. When the boots are standing, the heavy moist and cold air holds deep down inside the boot, does not circulate and boot dries slowly. Some MX boots boast inner booties which can be removed and dry off faster.
  • Periodically apply a neutral  shoe balm for leather footwear to prevent leather cracking and curling.
  • Periodically restore waterproofing of the waterproof membrane by use of impregnation spray.
  • Store your boots in a dry, well-ventilated place to ensure that the leather remains supple, and that the boots keep their original shape / condition.
