Helmet fastening

  • LS2 helmets are secured by Quick Release Buckle or by D-rings.
     

Quick Release Buckle

Quick Release Buckle fastening benefits from easy and fast closing and opening. This feature you appreciate everytime you take your helmet off frequently, for example when shopping or on the tripA quick release buckle gives you the flexibility to remove the helmet quickly if needed.

  • Fastening

The metal buckle attaches to a high quality safety strap. On the other strap is a ribbed plastic tab. Insert the ribbed plastic tab into the metal buckle. You’ll hear a light clicking sound. Continue to slide it until you get a comfortable, snug fit. Adjust the strap length so that you cannot stick your finger under the chinstrap, but you can still easily breathe and swallow. For additional initial adjustment use the metal slider buckle strap with ribbed plastic tab to take up excess strap.

  • Releasing

Pull the red ribbon on the lever to release.
 

Double D-rings

Sport and Racing LS2 helmets feature Double D-ring fastening system. Double D-rings are generally accepted as the best and most efficient helmet fastening system. Advantage of the D-rings fastening is simple design, high security, the helmet can be ideally tightened on your head, chin strap lays smooth against your throat. D-shaped rings fit smooth against the chin, have no mechanical parts and no corrosion problems. D-rings are the only permitted fastening system in many racing disciplines including MotoGP.

  • Fastening

Lead the chinstrap through eyelets on both rings. Curl back and thread the strap through the taller ring with the nylon pull tab. Securely tighten the strap until comfortably snug. Adjust the strap length so that you cannot stick your finger under the chinstrap, but you can still easily breathe and swallow. Press and snap the end of the strap.

  • Releasing

A red release tap allows easy loosening of the chinstrap even when wearing gloves. Loosen the chinstrap by pulling the red release tap on the taller ring.
